Parables of Jesus I Spy for Kids: Find It, Color It, Learn the Lesson

12 parables of Jesus that work twice — first a find-it hunt (10–11 hidden things plus one very helpful pup), then a coloring page, with a retelling and lesson line on every page. Try 5 scenes free.

A Parables of Jesus I Spy page works in two passes: first your child hunts the busy scene for everything on the "Can you find…?" list — and one small collie pup who is trying very hard to help — then they color the whole page. Each of the 12 scenes is a different parable Jesus told, with a short "Jesus told this story" retelling, one simple "What Jesus teaches us" lesson line, the parable's own Bible verse printed on the page, and the story reference at the bottom so you can read the whole story together.

### Which parables are in the book?

All 12, in the order they appear in the book:

The Lost Sheep • The Lost Coin • The Sower and the Seeds • The Mustard Seed • The Hidden Treasure • The Good Samaritan • The Wise and Foolish Builders • The Talents • The Ten Virgins • The Workers in the Vineyard • The Rich Fool • The Prodigal Son

The book closes with Luke 19:10 — "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost" — the thread that ties the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin, and the Prodigal Son together. Two "Peek Hints for Grown-Ups" pages at the back give away the trickiest finds when a little hunter gets stuck.

### How does a page work?

Take the Good Samaritan page below. The verse is Luke 10:37 — "Go and do likewise" — and the find list asks for a donkey, a flask of oil, a bandage roll unrolling down the road, a walking staff dropped on the path, a butterfly, a lizard on a sunny rock, a water skin, a coin purse, a heart-shaped rock, a lantern at the inn door… and, last as always, the pup! On this page she was only trying to help with the bandages — "Uh-oh! The pup was only trying to carry the bandages — and got all wrapped up like a mummy. Still helping!" Every page has its own "Uh-oh!" caption: the pup is never naughty and never in trouble, just small, eager, and occasionally wrapped up in a Bible story.

### Why does the inside have no shop name on it?

On purpose. The book's scene pages are clean and unbranded — no shop name on the pages or headers — so Sunday school teachers and children's church leaders can hand them out as-is. It is the same book homeschool families use at the kitchen table; it just travels to church without advertising on it.
